Drop off your machine for service at Vector Quilts in Ellijay or The Cotton Farm (during shop hours). Remember to bring your power cord, foot pedal, zig zag foot (if applicable). For embroidery service, we also need your hoop, embroidery foot, and embroidery arm. You are welcome to contact us first before dropping off your machine, but it isn't necessary.
When you drop off, you'll be asked to fill out a form and sign for service. You will be given a receipt acknowledging the day you dropped off and brand/model of machine. All of our usual policies apply - no bench fees, we don't charge to look at your machine. All machines are treated as service, so we will contact you if there are any concerns or repairs that need to be addressed before we proceed.
Machines are picked up regularly and transported back to Sewing Doc in Cumming. Machines will be serviced and/or assessed based on the date they were dropped off at The Cotton Farm or Vector Quilts in Ellijay. For example, if you drop your machine off on Saturday, July 11, and it is picked up by Sewing Doc on Friday, July 17, your machine goes in the queue based on the July 11 date.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the surge in service demand, our turnaround time is around 4 weeks. We are working around the clock to keep our turnaround time as low as possible without sacrificing quality in service.
You'll receive an email notification that your machine is checked in, and we will be in touch with you regarding any updates on your machine. If you have questions about the status of your machine, please contact Sewing Doc directly at 470-297-5104.
The Cotton Farm and Vector Quilts in Ellijay ARE ONLY A PICKUP/DROP-OFF LOCATION, THEY DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR MACHINE STATUS!
Once your machine is ready, you'll receive an email notification. Payment will need to be made over the phone or via a secure online invoice before your machine can be delivered to Vector Quilts in Ellijay or The Cotton Farm.
We will confirm that your machine has been dropped off, and it'll be ready for you to pick up at your convenience. An invoice receipt and details with your service notes will be included with your machine for your records.
All machine service comes with a 90-day labor warranty, so if you have any issues during that time, it's free to bring it back in for service.
Disclaimers: Please also note that machines without power cord, foot pedal, or embroidery arms/hoops when applicable may cause a delay. We are often able to accommodate missing items, but we cannot guarantee this.
Due to space issues, we cannot accept vintage machines in cabinets (most can be removed), or multi-needle or single upright embroidery machines without an explicit appointment. We also cannot accept boxes or the packaging your machine came in (carrying cases and rolling bags are fine). WE DO NOT SERVICE INDUSTRIAL MACHINES.
