Corvid-19: Update on Our Current Operations

Let me first start by saying we are so overwhelmed with love and gratitude for our customers. We were already bursting at the seams with an influx of machines for service before the pandemic hit, and you have all been so patient and kind! Thank you all for being patient while we navigate these waters!

We are doing our best to be extremely conscious and responsible in handling the Coronavirus situation. Below are a number of points of importance in what you can expect in machine service with Sewing Doc going forward. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us. The best way to reach us is via email at SewingDocATL@gmail.com. The volume of calls coming in is quite high, and we will return messages as we can.

Temporary Hours of Operation

Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At least for the short term, we have reduced our hours at the shop. The amount of general traffic with Vector Quilts Sewing Center has slowed, but more importantly, we know that sewing machines come in and out of the shop at a high rate. Our shop is closed every day to sanitize and clean all the surfaces in the shop to lessen the exposure to our customers and our staff. Every single machine is cleaned with antibacterial cleaner when it is dropped of and entered into our queue, and again when it's ready for pick up.

If you are unable to arrange pickup or drop off during these hours, contact us via email at SewingDocATL@gmail.com to arrange curb side pickup/drop off at the shop after hours.

Machine Pickup & Drop Off

As mentioned above, we are trying to limit the amount of traffic in the shop as a measure of safety to keep you and our staff safe. We are happy to come to your car to pick up your machine if you are dropping off, and we'll bring the form for you to fill out and sign. When picking up, we can bring your machine to your car and accept payment there as well. This is NOT mandatory at this point, only an option if you prefer. When you arrive at the shop, call us at 470-297-5104 and we'll come to you! In the event that you come in to the shop, we do have hand sanitizer on the counter and a restroom for washing hands easily accessible.

All Live Classes & Events are Postponed

We have postponed any and all live classes and events hosted by Sewing Doc. We already have the Featherweight Service Workshop Online, and we'll be aggressively making available our other classes online.
